Setup and activation of Dante license on WATCHPAX media servers
WATCHOUT 7 supports Dante multi-channel audio playback on both custom-built and WATCHPAX servers. All WATCHPAX media servers supporting WATCHOUT 7 come Dante-ready which means the Dante license has to be purchased and activated by the user.
WATCHPAX media servers back up the Dante license when you restart. This adds the possibility of performing factory resets and recovering the license while being offline.
Please follow the steps below to purchase and activate a Dante license on your WATCHPAX:

In the WATCHOUT 7 Producer, create an Audio Device and enable it in the audio device's Properties. Here you select the network adapter to be used for Dante:
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Dante license is bonded with the network adapter. Please be aware there is no way to transfer the license after purchasing and activating it, so make sure you choose the right network port on your device! -
Go to Dante Controller:
https://www.getdante.com/products/software-essentials/dante-controller/It should show up as "Dante Ready" in red.

Press the Dante Activator/"hat" icon. For Dante license purchase and activation you need internet access.

This will open the Dante Activator where you can purchase your DANTE license.

- Purchase and activate your license.

Go back to the Producer and in the Node Properties for the device, restart the Device to back up Dante.

After following all the steps above, your license should be activated and ready, and you can map the channels in Dante Controller.
